Attempted bowed instruments part, mildly arpeggiated, with Cubase, Halion and Arpache

The things with strings is that you have to retreat things as if you were playing them. In general the lead lines need more than one articulation. If you link three notes on one long bow, the volume stays the same and the pitch instantly changes. However at some point, you run out of bow, so you have the next pitch change with a new bow direction. This tonally is different, and most string packages give you different versions, that are more realistic to a real player. If you watch a spitfire or crow hill YouTube video you will see two hands in play. At simplest, each note is played with the right and expression comes from the left. You can also use key switches to change the articulation which takes considerable dexterity, but works with practice.

Second point. String sections do not play chords by everyone playing a new note with each chord change. At the simplest level, you would have two violins, viola and cello. Sometimes bass, who might just play an octave below the cello, but often play the cello’s part while it goes higher. The point is that if you go from C Major to F Major whoever is playing E goes up to F and the people playing G goes up to the A. If the Cello was playing C with the viola, they might just stay there, either as a new note, or a continuation of the already playing one. If you have a bass, it might go up to the F from C, but the cello might not? In yours most times common notes all change at the same time. You don’t write string parts like that. The other thing is that low strings need space between notes. On the first two strings of a cello, it would be rare to play a C and E or E and G sharp. No hard rule though, the dark murky sound might be perfect, but usually close notes stay higher in the top of viola and the violin. A bit like in a band when low E on the bass and the G sharp from the pianist often sound flashy, when chord wise they are not.

The flow of the music and chords work but how you are playing it is not as real as it could be? Just a few comments that might help.
