My Brunos are back from the luthier this arvo.
I had a little work done & a set up for both by a local fellow Lawrence K Smith.
He did the following in an effort for me to restore A as close as possible to the original Bruno stolen a few years ago:
Removed the bridge from B &, after removing non original bolt on bridge from it, put it on A;
Modified the height & length of a floating bridge with roller saddles I supplied and fitted it to B;
Removed the strap knob of A from the neck & restored it to the top bout;
Shaped, cut & fitted a brass nut for A;
Shimmed the screw holes of the neck block of A & refitted neck;
Fitted D'Addario EXL120s to both guitars &
a full set up, including p/up adjustment, of both.
Price AUS$300 (less 20% for approx US$ price).
I'm happy as they both sound great & A is now VERY close to my original in look & sound. All I have to do now is swap over the floating scratch plate to be done.
The chap's site is www.smithguitars.com
Any comment on price?
