Hello friends!
I just bought a brand new Audio Technica ATR-3350 lavalier mic.
I make videos for YouTube and some friends told me that would be a good purchase. I use a ZOOM H1 recorder with it.

The thing is, as soon as I plug it to the recorder, it starts to do these crackling noises. And the important thing is it does those noises even when turned off, without the battery.
So a tested it on my computer, to see if it is something with the recorder, but it’s the same thing. So I tested the mic of my headset on computer and on recorder and it’s all right.

I read somewhere that those mics have a problem with humidity, but I let it for more than 48 hours under the lamp and the problem persists.

It’s not static or electrical interference. I tested all my gadgets and even recorded in the woods. Same problem every time.

I recorded the noise, here is a sample:

So, what do you think? I just have bad luck and got a bad unit? It’s ruined? Broken for good? What could cause this? Should I buy another one?

Thank you very much for the attention.
Yuri
