ATM91...what's it good for?

Hi all!!

I found a broken Audio Technica (ATM91) microphone,
popped a battery in the sucker, resoldered a broken
wire and voila!!...it works. It is an omnidirectional,
electret condenser. Is this used more for live stage
work?
