a few days ago I posted a message about problems with my 2496 audophile from midiman in a compaq computer.
I had runing winXP and the problem was IRQ sharing about.
all of you in the same soup, there only one solution:
install win98 SE. I did and every thing is going well.
i have working my card in the same computer very well.
forgett audiophile running win Xp in brand computer.

I've been running my Audiophile 2496 for over a year in Windows XP. It works perfectly fine. There are ways to fix the sharing IRQ business, but you need to do research on it. There's info all over the web concerning it. Also, you need to research your MB or research buying one that will work for your situation. One thing I can never stress enough of is the use of google.

you jump ship to fast, do a few googles before you go swimming in shark infested waters imho...

if there was such a huge issue with xp and the card i'm sure you'll find it with a few searches...
