I'm recording a chamber-music performance in a church (wood interior), and plan to use a pair of AT871R mics, mounted on masonite panels, resting on foam pads on the floor in front of the group. There will be Cello, Viola, Violin and Hurdy-Gurdy (Viola player doubles on Hurdy-Gurdy).
I also have an AT 4033a, and have thought of using it as a third mono channel. Are there any suggestions to get the most out of this scenario?
Signal chain:
AT871R L & R>
Studiomaster Logic-Twelve mixer (phantom-power)>
Tascam 788 tracks L & R (1 & 2).
Thanks for any thoughts...
