AT4040 or Studio Projects B1?

Looking to expand my armada of microphones, Already own the RE20 and an MCA SP1 (which i must say is a KICKASS budget condenser)

Looking for a microphone which could provide me with a smoother & more balanced vocal recordings which will be used for youtube VO and online tuts, will also use for my music productions (edm & trance) I would use the re20 but i want that condenser "top end" but sibilance is a big no no.

What are the characteristics of these 3 mics?
AT4040 (i know is a little more expensive)
Studio Projects B1 (heard amazing things about this bad boy)
AT2035 (cheapest of the lot)

can anyone compare the re20 with the at4040, it would be nice to hear the differences between these mics.

I can't compare these mics for you but I read your post and was just thinking,
Sure, certain mics can emphasise sibilance, but I think sibilance is really an issue at the source rather than a quality of a microphone.

If you pronounce your esses in a harsh way then mic choice can help to limit the damage, but if you don't have that problem, mic choice is just taste.

If you do have an issue with sibilance you probably want the condenser that's most like a dynamic, or just a dynamic. RE20 is one of the best tools for the job.

the re20 is by no means a bad mic but it doesn't really "work" with my voice. How about the AT2035? any experience with that mic? cheers
