8th street is selling AT4033 B-stock for $275 which seems like a great deal ($75 less than non B-stock). I called and the representative said these are mics that 8th street found to be slightly blemished or dented and were refurbished by AT. So cosmetic damage, but who knows. Anyone had experience with B-stock from 8th street or AT? Any opinions on this deal?
In other news, I went to Guitar Center to audition mics. I found that with the MK219 my falsetto and high notes in general were too trebly, the AKGC3000B made my voice sound muddy (I'm assuming because my voice already has a good deal of mids), and that the KSM27 and AT4033 both sounded pretty good on my voice, with the AT4033 slightly better. Next stop, Oktava MC012s.
