Ok I talked into my 3 new at pro 25 mics yesterday, and wow they're proximity effect is really cool. To me it sounded just like a radio broadcast type of sound. Rich lows with a lack of high frequencies. I tried my Sennhieser 441U and it had nothing on the AT Pro 25 as far as proximity goes, but a much clearer sound. I also tried my Peavey 520i, which is supposed to have a sound very similar to a RE20, and it still had less proximity, but again more clarity in the highs.
I was really just wondering if anyone noticed this and had the same thoughts. If you have one of these mics and haven't talked into them yet, you should try it because the low end will floor you.
