PUrchased this mic on the cheap. Anyone have a history with it?

I picked up a couple of these a few weeks ago. My first condenser mics. I liked the results I got when using them for overhead/area mic'ing (2-5 feet away) on congas, dobro, guitar, group vocals and drums. I've used them for room mic'ing when recording band practice with ok results.

My only condenser for now. I seem to have better luck for vocals in close proximity.

Here's what I found in a ART Tube MP review:

"BTW, the Audio Technica MB4000C is a great sounding mic at a reasonable price. Perhaps not a Neumann, but
very pleasing to the ears and well constructed with gold plated XLR pins."
