Greetings Fellow Humans,,,

Im trying to figure out how to make use of Envelope FX.

How can I 'associate' the FX Envelope with the FX Chain so that I can slowly bring in the level of the FX instead of just having the FX effect the entire part.

I can make an FX Chain and make it work in a part but I can't get the FX to work with the Envelope at all.

I have no problem using the Volume and Pan Fx.

Simply I want to play a part and have it change over time using the Elvelope FX so by the end of the part ot sounds completely different.

The Help files speak also about pre and post FX and how to set the fader to inf. to make something else post or pre but I don't understand this at all so if anyone has any insight I would be most appreciative.

Merci~

What you need to do is these 8 easy steps:

1 right click above the busses in the mixer window.

2 click on assignable FX.

3 choose the effect you want.

4 It will now show up as its own buss as FX 1, to the right of yer last buss.

5 Now right click on the track you want to add the effect to.

6 goto insert/remove envelope.

7 select FX 1

8 use the green line as you would the volume or pan to fade the effect level in or out.

thats it
good luck,

Oh yeah,

in the FX1 buss the faders are labled in and out.
this is for adding the effect pre or post sound source.

again, good luck

Wooops!

I just gave you some bad info.
After thinking about what i wrote i decided to look up assignable effects and found this out:

Assignable effects are post volume by default. To change to pre right click on the FX fader in the track list window and change it to pre in the drop down window.

Sorry about the confusion on my part, but i hope this clears it up (for both of us :D )
