great sampler for hip hop due to its fillters (Bit Rate). Its an old board but a few of the major producers in hip hop still use it including timbaland, and RZA from the Wu.
The ASR 10 is a good board, if it is in good condition. I have the EPS 16+ for years. (That is the precursor to the ASR 10.) I have heard nothing but good reviews about it, though if you need repairs they are hard to get serviced, but again that is just hear-say as I have never tried myself.
