Hmm, I've been through some changes since I first started dreaming of doing this way back when. I was just nick, gecho child, anonymous (along with probably 1000 other people at any given time) and I just stuck with Nick Springfield because it became my nickname for one reason or another. I noticed there was a famous music group in each decade since the 60's and not in the 2000's, so I figured I'd be the Springfield of 2k. I get tons of shit though with the Rick Springfield comparison, but that wasn't even on my mind when I did that... i didn't even know about him at the time.
Emochoi was a word I made up when I was real young and I kind of just attached it to everything I did from newsletters, graphic design, web pages and such so i carried it over to Emochoi Records and I'm confident no one else will ever use that name. It looks like ee-mo-choy but it's pronounced ee-mo-ko-way (rhymes with smoke away, which was another thought for a label name). I'm content, but no one around me is. That's kind of the way I like it. I rarely agree on anything with my close aquaintences.
