Artist + Equipment Listing

Hey all.

Use this thread to List an Artist and the Corresponding Recording Equipment they used for a particular record.

Anything goes, from Pixies to Nanci Griffith to The Ventures.

It'll really help me (and I’m sure others) to gain a greater appreciation of how different recordings are achieved, and what equipment has been used to achieve these recordings.

Great Idea!

Read an article in the latest issue of Electronic Musician regarding Remmy Shand. He is a homewrecker to the extreme. Plays almost all of his own instruments plus vox, tracking, mixing. Basically everything on the cd was done by him except for mastering and the cover photo.

I can't remember all of the equipment he used but here is some of the prosumer gear he used for this major label release:

3 Roland VSR 880s
1 VS 880
1 Roland 7000 series mixer
Roland onboard effects

I think he also used Neve pre's, an ampeg 16 track, and some expensive (Neuman) and not so expensive mics.

The CD jacket even has a picture of his mixer and the vsr 880s. Thats inspiration!
