can someone help me out ? i need some reviews or art tube pre am system users info/opinions.

the art TPS is a 2 channel mic pre that also has spdif and other digi outs(DIO VERSION)

i cant find ANY reviews on this on teh internet or in any mags. can someone help me out?

heres whats gonna happen

rode nt1 or akg c1000---> EXTERNAL PRE AMP--->VS 880EX

i already tried the presonus tube and that thing sounded so distorted when i ran my synth through it(xp60) i didnt even bother by running the mics in it.

what about the art MP? i think im just gonna use the pre amp for vox unless i can get a cool 2 channel (art tps ?)

any help,info,tips,links and money will always be appreciated.

:)

I don't know much about the TPS, but I have an ART PRO MPA dual channel tube mic pre-amp.
I've been pretty happy with it, nice warm coloring.

mr.jones i am now looking into the art mpa.

tubedude $300 MAX however if i could get by on $150-$250 that would be cool.

the TPS is shite, i had a chance to hook it up and use here in my apartment on voice and acoustic guitar. my mackie pre amps were much cleaner in respect that i didn't hear sounds that weren't going into the microphone, and these weren't "tube" sounds. It was more fragile with gain, you turn it up too high and its noisey. also, the more its turned up, the worse it handles an increase in volume from what ever the mic is recording.

Dunno about the TPS,but I'm real happy with my Tube PAC.It matches well with a Rode NT1,and until what I do with them starts paying the bills,is all the quality I need.
