I'm in the market for a tube mic preamp and living in Costa Rica, the possibilities are not that broad at all, so I'm thinking about importing one, and doing a little research around the net I narrowed it down to the ART TPS. Now, I know that I should HEAR how this sounds before I buy it but given my geographical position, it's virtually impossible so I come to you homerecorders for advice on this preamp. My main concern is whether it'll be quiet or noisy... for $179 I can't really go too wrong but if it's not going to sound nice, quiet and warm, I'd rather maybe save a little more and go for something better. I might add that as of toda, I've been using a Behringer 602A as a mic pre-amp, as well as the mic pre built into the Delta 1010lt. I appreciate any feedback, thanks,
