ART- MIc PREamp

Hey how's it going out there?...

Well, there is a thing that concerns me a lot. I'm about of buying a Mic pre-amp, I saw the ART pre-ams very solid and versatile, but I can't see why people talk so bad about the TPS SYSTEM (even though it is a valve pre-amp) and so nicelly about the MP.

I was looking for a dual channel pre-amp, but is it worth to use two MP rather than one TPS?

I know people go crazy about the MP and even more the one with OPL....

I don't have any experience with ART preamps, but the Pro MPA ($339) dual mic pre is a serious contender for my next pre.

Why? Because Ed Rei (sonusman) likes it a lot. In a previous thread he stated he had used it with many different mics with good results. It has the same preamp as the ART Pro Channel (reviewed by Rip Rowan below).

At $600 I don't think I'b buy this unit, but at $339 it is a serious contender, for me at least.

I've used the Pro MPA a few times. Thumbs up for that one.
