ART Dual MP - probably stupified

For ages now I've read every one saying that the ART Dual MP is awesome and on the basis of this, yes, I will probably be getting one within the next few months.

But here's my question, can you use it in an effects loop or even pre-input of a guitar amp? (yes I have a crappy solid state guitar amp). If you could then not only could you warm up your guitar tone coming out of your amp, but cos the thing is a two channel pre, you'd also have the the other channel for your SM57 or whatever micing your speaker. It'd be cool if this worked!

You can certainly do each of the things you describe, although the Dual MP is capable of lots of gain (so you may have to go easy if you are using it after another pre-amp). It's just a matter of using the right patch cords and experimenting to see what sounds good to you.
