Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh....... XP POS .. or Delta 66?

I have searched this site... and the M-audio site... with very little luck... so far... I am running a Asus A7V266-E/AMD 1800 CPU
under Win XP Pro.......... installed a Delta 66 card and breakout box, downloaded the XP driver from the M-Audio site, (there were NO XP drivers on the delta 66 CD) NOW.... when I try to access the Delta Mixer Panel from the Icon tray, I get an error message :
("Driver version is older than expected! Please install latest driver.") ................................OK ...., when I try to delete the present drivers from within Device manager I get a Hard Boot Startup, and XP even goes into its version of scandisk.........
I downloaded the delta driver Uninstall program from M-Audio,
it does the SAME thing................ Is there anyone out there using a Delta 66 card under Win XP? and........if so.... HOW did you do it?
Anyone know of a URL etc. where I might find an answer?

Uninstalling delta drivers on 2k/xp can be a little wierd. I get the BSOD on Win2k.

What you have to do is this (going from memory here):

1) Boot into safe mode, and disable Delta via the device manager.
2) Restart and boot normally.
3) Run the delta uninstaller (reboot if necessary).
4) Install new drivers.

Thanks! I did follow the procedures you outlined, and so far it's working!

Now if I can find some good software I will be set to record my million seller! lol!
