argh! f***ing tape deck

Last night i was messin with different guitar sounds, had a couple recorded and hooked up the ol tape deck to mix down and check it out on my stereo,but- dam tape deck shit out on me. the left line in was not registering on the meters,only the right.I hooked up other stuff and still wont work. I got the thing 4 yrs ago but havent used it more than 15 hrs, it sat around un-used for 2 years, and the sony craped out.......Im pissed!
Does anybody know what kind of "tech" i can bring this to get fixed??????(cheap?)
What am i going to do with a "Mono Recording Deck"!
