I've a new guitar that I can't play till Christmas day. Looks purty. Anybody else get gear for christmas?

i got a tascam 2488 a couple of months early as a Christmas present :)

I wish. :)

I got some recording gear last Christmas so I'm pretty much all set in that department. I did get some more absorber panels to treat my room (yay, fiberglass for Christmas) some HD280 headphones, this old, small, vintage record player that looks really nice, a high-speed webcam/USB 2.0 card, and some other stuff that I can't remember right now.

I'm just gonna ask for picks. Lots and lots and lots and lots of picks

Xmas

I'm getting an MI Audio Tube Zone overdrive pedal (was going to shoot for a Fulltone but read a good balanced review from an Aussie guy on the MI Audio stuff).
Better still, I'm having Xmas at my folks house who are at the moment storing my 1966 335. Reunited again!! Bitching or what.

I"m getting my very first Ibanez Tube Screamer. The $100 TS9 model, not the $170 reissue. I'm really looking forward to it!

Most of my xmas this year was the home theater system my wife and I bought in October. I'm still just as excited about it now as I was then...I hate watching TV at other people's houses now!

Merry Christmas to me!!! :D

Tubes, finally.

Fender Hot Rod Deville.

(and, I also gave myself a christmas present... an M-Audio DMP3.)

Man!!! I gotta get me a wife that thing is awesome. How have you found using it?

just any wife won't do, my wife is very special. the first birthday present she got me was my goddess.

i'm no expert or anything, but i love using this thing. i graduated from a tascam dp 01 fx and it took me only a couple of weeks and a few experiments to learn just about every function i'm going to use. it's a breeze using it, it's very user friendly, and though it doesn't have the power of some of the other units out there, for the price i don't think it can be matched. this particular model isn't produced anymore in favour of the tascam 2488 MkII. but i find this one to be plenty adequate. there are two drawbacks. 1. no automation. people complain about that all the time. i dont' mind though, automation would probably confuse me. and 2. there's no way to transfer the mixed down song to computer without burning a cd and then ripping it. (i hate that). but i find the rest of it's abilities outweigh this one (big) flaw.

I always wanted a TS9. I use my Boss SD1 through my epi valve junior, I wonder how a TS9 would sound.

I asked for a Gibson SG faded and we'll see... doubt it'll happen :D

My parents don't get me too much anymore since I'm 21 :D

Black Friday sent me packing into Guitar Center Blue Sky EXO monitors, and MXL 990/991 pack got the whole mess for a great price!

On the guitar front, I got myself a Wegen pick to use on the new record, but the Eastman AC710 that I bought in September is Christmas every time I pick it up!
