I just read a review on the Event TR5's where one owner refers these speakers as being "Direct Field" monitors.
Just wondering if this is he's particular choice of description or is there a difference between "Near Field" and "Direct Field".

Don't let the size fool you.. Those are extremely loud for their size. I have mine hooked up to an M Audio SBX sub and they crank up real nice.
