Does ANYONE sing pop/r&B anymore? or did American Idol get em all!? EVERYONE AND THEIR HAMSTER ARE WANNABE RAPPERS!!! 95% of which could not rap there way out of a Dr. Suess Book. If you are a REAL rapper, I have some of those tracks on the website too. But hey, I have some really hot pop tracks also that NEED SINGERS!!! Check them out.... www.mp3.com/jadion_music

They are out there. But they are not being MARKETED. Its the same with a lot of music. Sigh.

That, or sweet young things whose looks are the most important thing -- as long as they get close enough to use AutoTune...

Yo Hideeho! God, it's true. I worked with Mo for 2 years in San Francisco and we became lovers. I haven't seen her in nearly 20 years, but she's flying in in 2 weeks to start the vocal overdubs on my CD. It's called "Reunion". I wrote the title song for Mo. I'm also bringing in Carolyn Pfeffer from Boulder, CO. Our voices always fit like 2 pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. She's a voiceover Goddess and a powerful songwriter, with over 100 unrecorded songs. We're already planning a second CD to resurrect our duo, "Horsefeathers", where she will be a featured vocalist. For right now, I'm using her for a doowop, and God knows I don't deserve her. She was the first person I called when I started building the staff for this album, And I"m likely to be producing her second CD.-Richie

OOOweeee - that's some good stuff. I'm a jodeci/Dru fan & thats what your stuff is making me think of. The beats are really good & the music is really beautiful.

I used to really dig the RnB from the early thru mid 90s. I like Hip-Hop, but at least in my city, the hip hop on radio is dominated by an agressive hard sound that just turns me off.

Dude, I really like your jams.

Looks like you want to be the writer rather than the performer, is that it? Cause with 15 songs, and at that level of quality, you could put out a CD already.

Anyway, I'm a Jadion fan. Sign me up!!

Yo Layla- we got nothin' to hide. I'l always love Mo, and she'll always love me.-Richie

We'll talk...

Seriously, I'm looking forward to meeting her! She has been "mythic" for way too long.
-- Richie's wife

Actually, you're right. My wife Susan has been talking to Mo for months on the phone, and they're friends already. Did I mention I'd marry her again- in a heartbeat?-Richie

i don't know much about dedicated singers these days, but i'm available for session work-cheap. could use the practice. plus i'm not all that bad. i will try and post some recent recordings soon.

Real singers are indeed getting harder and harder to find. Screamers are everywhere, nasal chicks with slured speech are plentyfull, bathroom virtuosios and in the car with the stereosingers are crawling out of the woodwork, but real singers, I mean the ones with more than a three note range, or can enunciate well enough to be understood, or know what it means to be on key, or know how to project their voices into a mic, or read music enough to know where they are in a song let alone if they sang the right notes... I haven't found many of them lately either. It's so bad that I'm even having trouble finding back up singers for harmony on a line here and there. I'm a decent guitarist and believe me, I hear it when a singer is off just as much as when I miss a note or chord. I don't like to sound cynical but imo most of our modern "divas" should stick to dancing, nice moves and a pretty face are not requirements for singers. As long as the public keeps buying the garbage, the producers will keep filling the shelves with it. We as the little guys in the recording industry need to be a bit more selective about who we record and maybe the big companies will catch on to the idea. When we start hearing better singers on radio and tv more people will aspire to be better singers, then maybe us little guys wont have quite so much trouble finding the kind of talent that we can take pride in recording. Real talent in the studio would indeed make producing great sounding recordings a reality for most of us. I'm sure there are still plenty of good singers out there, we need to figure out how to get them into our studios.

I hardly listen to any american music - there's so much stuff that I just don;t know. I've never heard nora jones songs, I've never heard ani difranco ...

I listen to a lot of french and arabic music. Lot of that stuff is really well done, good tunes, great singers, great musicians. Some programming, but lots of real musicians solo breaks etc.
