are there any programs that use tabs?

i'm no drummer at all, but i'm good with computers and stuff. are there any progs that you put in the drum tab and it translates it to midi? then i could take the midi file and use it with EzDrummer or addictive drums. that w ould be sick.

well im not to sure about what you mean by drum tabs but you could use guitar pro to program the drums and then you can go to file export as midi. Thats what I used to do back before I had some decent recording gear and was using a drum machine. Im not sure how much guitar pro costs now a days but im sure there are some other Midi notational software that can do this Guitar pro is good because it has an onscreen keyboard, fretboard, music notation, and tab. I hope this helps. Im sure someone else might have a better suggestioin im not exactly a drum machine fanatic.
 
Definitely, GuitarPro is a good option for transcribing drum parts.
