are my ears bias?

Hey guys,

Sometimes I find myself listening to other local peoples' work and thinking...damn that sounds great and creative...then I listen to my stuff and I think, blah...I know that the quality of my mix is better. Is it possible that I know my mix so well I am bored of it and the song so when I hear something different I think it is just great? Or does my stuff just suck? Does anyone else have this issue?

Nah really, I'm kinda the same way. I hear other people's stuff and find what I like about it. Then I either ask questions or try to figure it out on my own about how to apply whatever I liked to my own stuff. Sometimes there's nothing about a certain mix that I feel is better than my own, and sometimes I find that my stuff totally sucks in comparison. All it does is inspire me to do better. Theres always something to learn.
