applying fx to 2 tracks at the same time??

Is it possible to get two seperate tracks (multi track view) into the waveform view to apply fx to them?? The only way i can think of doing it is to mix down the 2 tracks and then edit the mix down then put them back into the multi track. any ideas would be great.

Yeah, that would be great if you could do that, but I think you can only do the two things you already know how to do - one track at a time, or a mixdown.
