Apparently, Jesus prefers single coils

I thought this was humorous

Now I'm not poking fun at anyone's religion. I don't even think this qualifies as someone using religion to line their own pockets. I just struck me as funny. I didn't see that on any other guitar there, including the other beginner's models.

So I guess the message is, parents, DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY HUMBUCKERS! HUMBUCKERS=HYMBUCKERS!

OK, so maybe I have a strange sense of what's funny. Or maybe JC was a surfer dude.
 
lol....then I hope Jesus doesn't notice that I'm playing a Les Paul with Burstbuckers in church!!! Or my ESP with Duncan JB59's! :eek:

I really do hope nobody gets offended by this...if they do then they need to lighten up. I'm a born again believer and I find that hillarious!

Oh...I'm sure he's got a '59 Les Paul stashed around somewhere near the pearly gates!
 
I heard on TV, so it's got to be true, that the Christian music market is larger than Classcial, New Age, World, and Jazz combined.

Feels weird to see "Christian" as a style listed for an elec gtr though. I always understood that Jesus played only the classical guitar. You know, like Esteban but without the hat and shades.

Uh-oh, there are clouds forming overhead. I guess lightning's not too bad a way to go.

Yes, the Christian music market as gotten huge. Just take a browse through www.independentbands.com (has both independent and mainstream) and you'll see for yourself.

Sure Jesus plays great classical guitar! He would make Andres Segovia weep because of his own ineptitude. However he also leaves Satriani, Vai AND Petrucci in the dust!
 
actually, I'd always hoped they handed you a '59 LP at the door. Cherry sunburst, of course. But I guess if you want flamed maple.... :D

I did a setup for Jesus not to long ago and he was rockin a Duncan Pearly Gates...

...but you had to come back to practice more?

I heard that if you have a near-death experience and go towards the light, if you stay under long enough you can get close enough to the light to make out the shape of a 12ax7 tube.

No... He was playing Segovia's 1912 Ramirez guitar from the NY Metropolitan museum. Said he preferred the Ramirez to the Hauser that's also in the Met's Segovia display. Mumbled something too about Segovia being a better duet partner, which I thought was a very un-Christian thing to say. But that's an oxymoron, or something similar.

I missed that one. However, I did see JC hocking replica's of his original cross on HSN that he promised had "all wood construction." :p

Perhaps in reality, Jesus thinks he's Clapton".

I've known a few musican's who attended Christian Colleges and Universities. They said that the big thing for freshman is to learn how to play guitar and form a praise and worship band. Well if Mom & Dad can afford a private education they're not scimping on the guitars.

They said it was sickening to see so many people trying to learn how to play on high dollar Martin or Taylors. Then again by the time they get frustrated and give up you can get a quality guitar at the fraction of the price. One of the guys got a $2000 Martin for $300.00.
