Hello,
At the beginning, sorry for my english.
My question seems to be simple, but I can'n find the answer in google, gearslutz, and different music/recording/engineering forums. So that's why I create new thread.
If anybody know the way how can I easily panning between left/right canal using Apogee One for iPads/iPhone/Mac?
Without Apogee One, I can panning music in System Preferences/Sound. But after connect Apogee One, possibility of panning disappears.
Sometimes, I need to panning some music from iTunes, to focus or isolate some instrument to hear it better. I think panning is basic and simple possibility, and it is frustrating for me, if I only want for a moment check something in left or right canal and for that I need to switch Headphones from Apogee One, and connect directly to Mac, and after then change output settings in System preferences /Sound to Built In staff, or different way is to copy song to DAW, and after then I can panning it in DAW.
If anybody know the easier way to panning? Maybe I need some new software?
Please help me.

Hi,
I lose system pan option when I use my motu 828mk2 or presonus firestudio mobile.
In both cases, it's because the interface comes with software with pan options.

Does the apogee come with a software mixer?

Yes, apogee come with software mixer, but there is pan options only for inputs. While Output has two sliders, it looks like one for left, and one for right, but there is no option to unlink them. I was looking in Preferences, trying slide with shift, alt, ctrl, and nothing work. So that is why I wonder if better/simplier solution is to find some plugin to iTunes that allowed me to panning in iTunes. I don't know. I think it's very strange that it is so difficult to panning music. It's seemed to be basic option.

I'm surprised that you can't adjust the output faders independently…
I'm not sure about plugins or third party software.

I struggled to find a similar thing for system output eq (bose dock via bluetooth is really bassy).
In the end I found an app called boom, but it doesn't have pan options.
