If you want an external mic pre that's better than your small format mixer pre, this may be the ticket. Basically a clean pre, but Aphex stuck a tube in it too...so when you start cranking it... I've heard replacing the tube with something "special" makes this a different animal. Never tried it though. Has all the bells and whistles for a dual mic pre.
THIS IS MISSING THE POWER SUPPLY. I don't have the pwr supply and it needs a 24VDC 600ma supply, that I see online you can find for under 10 bucks. Too bad it isn't just a 12V, but anyrate, a replacement isn't too much $
