well im looking into buying an apex 435, im getting a pretty good deal on it. so i was wondering what the quality of this mic is like?

I finally got mine and played with it a little. It's a nice mic for what I paid ($35 + shipping). Looking on the inside, there are only three ceramics, all of which appear to be on a board that's mainly power regulation. There are three electrolytic cans (fairly large) near it, and it looks like large power planes, so I'm pretty sure that entire board is basically power regulation except one transistor (and I have no idea why it is over there).
On the audio path board, there are a number of metal/poly film (white plastic box) caps, some other film caps of a different type, and a bunch of mystery caps. I'm not sure what they are. They might be multilayer ceramic, but they lack the black stripe, so I'm not sure. Maybe metal/polypropylene. They're yellow, but otherwise look a bit like two doughnut holes stuck together sideways. Thoughts?
Anyway, it sounds surprisingly good, particularly for $35.
