Winner chicken dinner!
My UAD-1 card won't mixdown correctly for some reason but it works when i playback the mix in realtime. I assume it's because the mixdown is always accellerated using as much processing power as your computer has at the time or whatever. Anyway to mixdown in realtime?

The card doesn't do the mixdown - the PC does - it wouldn't care if the card wasn't there. So the problem must lie elsewhere.

You can however capture a mixdown using Total Recorder - you may find it will even do it in faster than real time too.

The mixdown is accellerated. It takes a shorter amount of time than the track length. Is there any way to get the PC to do a mixdown in realtime ala when i play back the mix in the multitrack screen?

What is Total Recorder?

This is probably a no-no, but you could always open another instance of Cool Edit and set the windows recording mixer to *stereo mix, and let that session record while you play the other one...
