Slowing becoming un-noob.
"Side With The Seeds" by Wilco.
Nels Cline is AMAZING. One of the best guitarists of our time in my opinion.

The solo starts at 3:49

I can't figure it out for the life of me.
If any of you guys are willing, that would be Greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Yeah that's got some crazy stuff in it. I just have too many things on my plate right now, otherwise I'd be happy to. Do you have any software to slow down with? That would make it much easier.

Cool music by that band. No help here but I am interested in free (I am cheap) software to slow things down. I had "chrontron" it was cool but now not free. It had some glitches but overall worked pretty well. My old Marantz cassete (mono) machine was pretty good but it is long gone. They do hav a new digital machine out. If you find some software taht does it please post. If I can get hold of a buddy in the military who does great work in that area I will ask. Be well all.

dont worry it is freeware

umm...Those are just the chords...?
I need the solo tabbed out?

....

As for the other posts. I'm using quicktime to slow it down and that's working well enough. I can slow it down to 1/2 speed, it's sort of glitchy, but it works. I can more or less get through the whole solo with the wanking part sounding pretty crappy in my opinion, but I'd be comfortable enough to do a cover with a whole band behind me.

If I had the whole tab though, that sure would be sweet for me to learn the last "shred" type part.

But yeah.

sorry I didn't take time to look

Just wing it, pentatonic improv is where it's at!

Basically what I'm doing right now, sounds decent. I'd love to be able to play it flawlessly though. I'm getting it down better though, it's fun practicing actually, ha.

Sent E-mail to my friend who is really good at that stuff. Waiting for reply as he is busy with a Petrucci song now, I think it is called (something scottish)? Oh hell I can't remember the name but it is a toughy. I have known this guy for years and he loves a challenge. On a side note, my ex GF is big fan of Wilco and we have a standing joke as I always ask,"Is that Wilco" I dig their stuff adn will check my albums to see/hear if I have it and if so I will give it a try. No promises as to success. Right now working on a chord solo version of Moondance. Be well all.

To Roguetitan send me Pm and we can exchange info. Much apprecaited O can't type worth a crap so please excuse. I do check my PM's. Be well.

Props to you for taking on that song, its one of my faves on the Sky Blue Sky record!
Cant offer any help except saying how cool Wilco is:D

Thanks Man :D

I've been working up to this song. A couple months ago I would've been like "no way..." now I'm actually gettin' it down decently, if only I had a good tab:rolleyes:

But yeah. Wilco is absolutely amazing live. After I saw them is when I really got into them. Nels is amazing.

Summerteeth is my favorite of theirs for me. That whole album is spot on IMO. YHF has a lot of great moments throughout, but it also has some misses to me at times. A Ghost Is Born has more misses to me than YHF, as does Sky Blue Sky.

I still enjoy listening to them and am a big fan, but IMO, they haven't topped Summerteeth.

Yeah, Ive heard opinions like that across the whole board.
Many of my friends think "being there" was their best work, many think "yhf" and only few Sky Blue Sky.
I think all of their records have good moments respectively. I can respect that theyve put out 6 albums with a completely different sound to each of them.
I myself like Sky Blue Sky a lot, I think Nels Cline brought an incredible gust of fresh wind into the band.
Overall, I like most of their stuff and theyve been a great influence:)
