I'm using a Tascam 312b mixer, and I'm trying to find a few different ways to hook up a reverb outboard gear to the mixing board so that the reverb can be monitored in the headphones, but not recorded. :o

Does anyone have any easy ideas how I can make that happen? I'm also using an older Yamaha Mono reverb outboard unit?

Just patch the reverb through the regular effect send and have the output of the reverb patch back to an unused channel strip and that way you can add reverb to a cue mix though the aux 1 or 2 feeds.

Just be sure not to assign the reverb's returns to a buss you're recording on unless you want to print reverb to tape.

Cheers! :)

okay, excellent! Thank you, thank you! That sounds like something that would work great!
But, I'm kinda a little slow, so, ya gonna have to take it easy on me-- Big time newb! :p What type of cables would I use to hook up the reverb this way, and if you have some time, can ya give me a step by step explanation on how to plug all this in. Also, will this work if I'm using a mono reverb unit?

I know, I know, I'm pathetic, but this mixing board stuff is all new to me, and I'm a bit overwhelmed with all the cabling that's required.
