Anyone Using Harmonizers?

I have been in the market for a new effects processor and the Voiceworks harmonizer looks rather intriguing. In addition to the standard effects (reverb/delay) which I thought sounded very good to my ear, you get pitch correction and of course (4) part harmony. Obviously an Eventide Harmonizer would be awesome but for my humble studio the Voiceworks is more in my league. Do any of you have a Voiceworks unit and if so how do you like it? Speaking from experience I know too often once gear lust sets rational thinking steps out so I'd like some feedback one way or the other before I make the plunge.

I've looked at the TC Helicon line several times, but I've always stopped short of purchasing anything. Their sample CD is interesting to listen to but my inclination has always been to save the money and go back to the drawing board on vocals. Focus on creating background harmonies the old fashioned way or experiment with wisper tracks, doubling, etc. The other problem is simply a technological one. It seems that no matter how good these units get, people claim that they sound artificial. Who knows, but it always leaves me with lingering doubts. The other issue that worries me is whether or not I'm purchasing a $700 unit in the hopes that my bad vocals will sound better. I figure that if my voice sounds like crap it may not help much.

i don't ever use harmonizers,
i love recording multiple tracks of vocals,
even the singers love doing it, the way they look when they first hear themselves trough the headphones is great !

when i got a singer that doesn't sing supergood, i'll just record him a few times, just make sure he's right on the money,
then it always sounds more "in tune", more fat, and it gives me the possibility to start Comping,,,,cutting away the real bad parts

if you use a harmonizer you must record at least ONE real good track...
well,,,that's what we're always supposed to do...

i don't have the money for a harmonizer...its not even on my list...
next purchase is gonna be a sennheiser hd280 so i have less bleed from my headphones :)
