PhilGood Juice box hero Jul 14, 2005 #2 Absolutely! Whenever I get a new drum I inspect the bearing edge for any imperfections (sanding it out if I find one with fine sand paper) and then I rub the bearing edge with parafin. It makes the head seat faster and tuning is much easier.
