anyone use these headphones?

i'm looking at getting some headphones to use while mixing stuff on my laptop. just so i can sit out in the house and not drive others batty -- i'll also listen on speakers -- but want something good sounding for when i'm constructing loops and things.

anyone use Grado headphones with their laptops out there?

i was looking into Sennheiser 580's but it sounds like you need an amp to drive them, and i've heard you don't with the Grados (i'm looking at the sr125's).

lil, i own a pair of the Grado 125's and they are the finest headphones I've ever heard for listening to music. However, because of their design you can hear outside noise and sound will be heard by others close by. If this is not a problem I would recommend them. Otherwise get a closed design so sound won't bleed in or out.

well, i don't need to track vocals with them or anything, i just figured with a baby in the house (there will be one soon) i could sit around and do stuff on my laptop without disturbing anyone and have it sound really good -- but is the bleed so loud that it will drive others nuts?
