im thinking of getting some to go with my 20/20s and my s1 active subs. just wondering if anyone has put some real miles on some yet ?

I've had a pair for a year or so. They don't get a good press on this bbs, and I hear why - they sound more like hi-fi speakers than flat monitors, with the mids hard to pick out and an exaggerated bottom end (even with one of the bass ports stuffed with foam as recommended in the manual for my placement set up). There's some kind of artificial bass enhancement going on.
I thought this might be down to my room, but I've read similar comments in other user reviews.
On the other hand they are good for impressing the other band members with first rough mixes, because of that hi-fi sound

thanks for the reply, i see what your sayin, i want some because i would think they would go good with my alesis s1 subs. you think if i use my crossover and send no bass to them they would be good to go. thanks....

Well, not really. I can't imagine they'd give you anything better than your 20/20s. I was really saying you should save your money, unless you have listened to them and fallen in love....
