my direct box is messed up ... how do you think recording a clean channel direct as dry as possible into Sonor and running it through Guitar rig would sound ??
That's what I have always done, you may need to tweak your settings within the software some, but it shouldn't be a problem. What would you use to record it?
Im using Sonor 4.0 producer edition.. with a delta 1010lt ... Im thinking of using guitar rig to layer more guitar sounds behing my mic d amp tracks ?
Guitar rig works great as a plug in but do you know how to say .. re-record a track in Sonor while manually using the Wah ??

Well, most of the "chug" that you hear in metal and hard rock comes from the air movement that takes place between the speaker of the amp and the mic. You don't get that when using guitar rig unless you simulate it. A lot of the "tone" comes from that air movement as well. Otherwise everyone would be using guitar rig or other direct preamps.
