Anyone still thinking about Yorkville YSM1's?

I don't like hawking equipment but at $200 a pair you can't really go wrong. I've been using them as nearfields for almost three years now and they continue to amaze me. I was using Paradigm Mini mkIIs before these and they absolutly blow them away. I don't know how many times people have looked at them and said "that's the speakers we're listening to right now? Where's the sub woofer?". Not that they're bass heavy, they just have an amazing response. I have more than one set of monitors that I check mixes on and I'll be picking up something a little more high end in the not too distant future but there'll always be a place for these babys on the console. End of product endorsment. YMMV.

where you finding these fer 200 a pair? My closest distributor quoted me 149 each for the passives, he's callin yorkville for the active price. :(

Yo TubeDUDE:

I've had the YSM-1 speakers for about a year. I invited a buddy over, a non-musician, and I played some stuff on the YSMs. He listened for about a minute and said, "Hey, order me a pair will you?"

I also paid about 200 for the pair. $149 pezzutos for the passive speakers sounds pretty good. You can get Yorkville on the net and find out the closest dealer. I happened upon a dealer in my home town, a musician dude who was selling out of his house. No problema and no shipping charges.

I think I'll call him and get the broshure on the active speakers.

For the dollars, they are good speakers. Are there better speakers out there? For sure. Do they cost more? FOR SURE.

Happy New Year DUDE.

Yo Gidge:

89 pezzutos apiece for the Yorkville YSM's sounds great; however, I'll bet you with the shipping "charges" they will run more than 100 pezzutos apiece.

I was lucky that my dealer lives in the same town; but, I suspect something was added for shipping anyway.
