Anyone recorging with USB mixer into AA?

Hello...is anyone using a USB mixer to record into AA? Are you recording just stereo...2 channels...or is anyone recording more then just 2? Not interested in an interface...I want more then 2 channels. Is everyone using firewire for more the 2...or are people still using regular 24,32 and more channel mixers into reel to reel?

I was in the market for a USB mixer, then I looked into interfaces. I know you said that you don't want an interface because you want to be able to record more than 2 channels. Just look at interfaces that have more than that. All the "channels" will be sent through the USB cable, so you are only limited by the hardware, just like with a mixer. I'd look at it like this - if you do lots of shows, then I'd go with a mixer simply because it's faster to adjust things on hardware, if you are doing mainly recording, I'd look into a good interface with the amount of I/O's that you need.

I use a Scarlet 8i6, and it's perfect - for me, but I do recording...
