Hey all,

I recently saw this retro-looking yamaha stack at my local music store and was kind of interested in it... but ive never heard of it before (yamaha isnt normally the first company i look to when i think of bass amps either) and theres not much info on it around the net.

Has anyone played through one? Its important that its a B100 THREE. I was able to plug-in briefly and I thought it sounded alright... i might be able to get it for $400, but im not sure........... it is in great condition considering how old these things are. never taken to a gig even. everything works. i do hear the direct ouput is supposed to be pretty good which would be good because so far my bass recordings have been lacking.

I believe the stack itself is 100 watts but if another speaker is added can go up to 180 (not sure on this though). it has two channels of parametric EQ which is pretty cool... theres definately a lot of range for tone on this amp... you can layer the two or switch with a foot pedal. (also like hpf and lpf knobs and such..>?? dont know what thats for)

any suggestions? or experiences?
