Anyone Need Some Free Mixing Done?

Hey all,

I've some downtime in the studio over the next few days and I'm keen do a bit of mixing using a few new plug-ins. If anyone would like a track or two done, let me know! This is all free of course, I'll be getting more experience and you'll be getting a free mix!

I normally work on PT9, but my iLok has upped and gone, to my dismay, so I'll be mainly dealing in Logic Pro 9 for these mixes. If you've recorded yourself in PT, just consolidate the audio you want mixed and send it on over, if it's logic, just send me the session file! I also dabble in Cubase if anyone has done anything with that.

Sure let me know anyway, I'm free until Friday for this!
 
I may send you send you something to mix for me tomorrow.

I just started recording and have never really mixed a full track so right now I just want to compare my own mixed track to one mixed by someone who knows what they're doing.
 
Well for starters how does anyone know you can actually do a decent mix.It's your first post and you offer no links to any of your work.Personally i'd rather mix my own stuff for free.If i wanted a pro job i'd pay a pro with a proven track record.I listen to some really good stuff in the mp3 clinic and trust a lot of the advice given there.

I'm not trying to bust your balls.I did a free demo once with a guy who was starting up his studio.He was somewhat clueless and we spent a good bit of our time driving an hour each way.In the end the demo sucked and we were constantly reminded that it was free.For the time involved i would've rather spent a few bucks and had something worth keeping.

Even if it's free you still can't guarantee the quality of the tracks people send you.You can only polish a turd so much.

I got a song you can mix - its in cubase - I can zip it all up if you want to give it a shot - I can send the cubase file and the project folder

- you can just remove all the inserts/effects I put in there and start over fresh if you want

PM me or reply and I will upload it if you still want to do it - id love to get someone else to give it a shot :)
 
Just rambling on like Grandpa Simpson i guess.
I know it's not difficult to send your files to someone else to mix.My point is that unless the OP offers a link of his work why bother.

...but it's free...so it's totally worth it!

Unless the mixer nicks it, puts it out as their own and scores a surprize mega hit that makes millions ! :laughings:
 
DUDE I LOVE YOU. I am recording a band on tuesday but I suck at mixing..do you have pod farm? I can hook you up with the clean DI guitar tracks if you do. they're a metalcore band I'd love for someone with experience to mix for me!

Hey all, sorry for the late reply. I've been away for a month. I'm an experienced musician and engineer. My website isn't finished just yet, but you can pm me if you want to here samples of my work. I can't post links here because I'm new. :/
