Anyone Looking For A Van?

You're too early for me. I'll need a van in about four months, but have no money for one right now. Sorry :(
 
How much are you asking, and how are the engine, transmission, and tires? Mileage?
 
$1,250. The engine, trans, tires, exhaust, and everything are perfect. My dad has been a mechanic for over 30 years, and was an author of an auto repair book. As soon as I got it, he was waiting in the garage to rip out the engine and get everything running the best it can.

It has new brakes, exhaust, tires, cylinder head, and more crap I can't remember. The only problems are: it's a stick shift (not really a problem if you know how to drive it), there's no radio, the keys don't unlock the front doors, only the side and back doors.

Other than that, it's the greatest van you'll ever see.
 
Thanks for the info. Any idea of how many miles are on the engine since it was rebuilt? Even if its just a ballpark estimate...
 
I believe there is about 160,000 miles on the van total. After my dad and I (mostly my dad. The only thing I did was paint the engine the factory blue color) fixed up everything, new cylinder head and all, only about 50 miles, maybe not even that many, were put on it.

The ironic thing was, as soon as I got the van we started working on it. We get it all apart and my band breaks up. After we got it running, I drove it around the block a few times and to my dad's tire store for tires. Other than that, it just sits here. I start it every couple of week and back it out of the garage, then put it back in (well, not lately. Too much store to get out of the garage and I hate shoveling).

I need money to open my new store. My brother's friend wants the van, but he owes my brother $500 for his old car which is completely destroyed. He wants to trade. My brother told me I should get rid of the van before he gets a little bit more money and wants to trade.

If you want to drive it, come on down. I'd be willing to meet you somewhere. I'd even take you to my dad's store, put it up on a lift, and show you everything that's under the van....I really don't want to put this on eBay.

Just wondering if you talked to your band. You still interested?
