It is played by Robert Smith of The Cure in the Trilogy DVD concert.
He plays it only in two songs at the end ( 'If only tonight we could sleep' and 'The Kiss' ). I like both the looks and the sound of the guitar.
Any help will be appreciated.

( The quality of the images is not good, sorry )

I wanna say it's a Rick but I'm not sure. Wish I could see the headstock clearer.

It's a Schecter, He used to play a gretsch cg and ovation balladeer

Rickenbacker ? I don't think so.
Yeah you're right and right after I posted that I kept thinking "weird 60's surf guitar" over and over. Mosrite.

My guess would be

that it's custom made, perhaps a prototype for his Schecter.

It almost like a cross between a Mosrite and an Acoustic Black Widow.

But I would still bet it's a one off custom.

Yeah, that's what I thought.
I think it is more beautiful than the Ultra Cure he designed.

Yeah, it looks like a Mosrite guitar....crossed with a Schecter.

I didn't know about this Mosrite guitars...are they good ?

I've played one. Very plasticy and weird. Urge Overkill guitarist Nate played them. The sixties revival bands usually had one or two. Not too popular but it would seem some people really liked them.

Here's a few.

Ronnie Sessions was born in Henrietta, Oklahoma on December 7, 1948. When Sessions was four years old his family moved from Oklahoma to Bakersfield, California. Sessions began taking guitar lessons when he was eight years old from Andy Moseley (brother of the local Mosrite Guitar manufacturer Semie Moseley). Andy Moseley later became Ronnie Sessions? manager. Sessions signed his first recording contract with Pike Records when he was nine years old. Eventually Sessions signed a record deal with Bakersfield's Mosrite Records, owned and operated by the Moseley brothers

Johnny Ramone played one.

Ventures Model. Made Mosrite famous pretty much.

Barbara Mandrell owned this freak of nature.

Semie Moseley’s first job at Rickenbacker ended abruptly in 1955, when he was fired for building his own guitar in their factory. The event prompted him to start his own company with Reverend Ray Boatright, an evangelical minister. They combined their names to produce that of the new company, Mosrite. At first the business consisted mostly of custom-built instruments, but after adding other business partners, particularly the rock group, The Ventures, in the 1960s, the company expanded and was building up to 300 guitars a month. Mass production ended in 1969, when the factory closed, but Moseley continued to build custom guitars through the 1970s and '80s.
Now I know why Rick came to mind originally.

It looks an awful lot like the Burns guitar. The Acoustic Guitars were built by Burns as were the Baldwin guitars. It also looks a lot like the Baldwin. Same knobs.
