i tried the midi yoke downloads but they don't work for me. does anyone know of any good midi patches that i can get so i can play my midi keyboard through the computer?

okay

i got the midi to work, now i need to be able to change a guitar into a horn, what do i need, sampletank?

What the hell are you talking about?

Midi yoke downloads? Patches for what? Guitars to horns with Sample Tank?

What the???

What's the setup?

if you're using a vst compatible sequencing program sampletank will work fine for u.

there should be a demo version here along with free instruments.

changing sounds is simply loading a new sound to a channel .

but once u get thet triton u'll forget all about sampletank

yo, lazi

MIDI YOKE is a virtual MIDI Patch Cable driver. It is a Windows (Versions 3.1x, 95, 98 and ME) multimedia driver. Also available is a driver for Windows NT, 2000, and XP. MIDI YOKE is used to connect any Windows MIDI Application outputs to any other Applications inputs.

you have to bear with me man, midi is a new ball field for me, i don't know any of that jargon. i read that i needed a midi patch at this other site, maybe i was being led in the wrong direction, but i got my keyboard to work fine in acid. i just need to get more instruments. acid isn't vst, so that means i'll have to record in cubase sx, if i want to use that.

btw, i think the patch is just if i'm trying to play midi in a program with out actually having a hardware midi controller. that would probably explain where the confusion is coming from. i had to concentrate on the virtual patch thing, and then it just slapped me in the face. i guess it's kind of self explanatory now that i look at it. thanks for the help hi , and lazi

LOL. actually that was one of my shoes. a size 12. I went back to look at the picture again it does look pretty small. Actually when I posted that particular shot i thought the whole booth looked pretty small. BTW it 41/2ft wide 6ft long and 61/2ft high

good lord, that would explaine the mistake in scale.

Oops I hope i didn't throw ya I meant 4.5ft wide 6ft long and 6.5ft high

How that sample tank thing going for u?

yeah, that threw me for a loop

i downloaded the demo and one of the free sounds. all of the other sound folders were empty. it was pretty cool. i had used in cubase sx. it took a hot minute for me to get it to work. i guess i'm growing impatient untill that korg gets here. the dude said he mailed it off today. so it should be here by this weekend. yo, there was a good show on mtv today. it was about the word gangsta in rap, and also about how most rappers are really broke. there should be a rerun on tonight.
