Anyone have an ultra-339?

Epiphone Ltd Ed Ultra-339 Electric Guitar | Musician's Friend

I love the feature set behind the ultra-339. The ability to switch between acoustic and electric pickups and a built-in tuner around the pickup ring could make this an ideal practice guitar. However, there have been some horror stories from 2012 about quality issues with them, including string buzz, fret roughness, and poor paint jobs. Curious - has anyone pulled the trigger on one of these in the last few months? What was your experience?

Any advice would be appreciated. I have an opportunity to get one of these at a reduced price from mf over the next few days, which is why I'm curious.

Standard answer about Epi's is indeed quality - try them out in the store first, or if you are confident of the online seller (that you can return them until you get a decent one - at their expense), go for it.
I've also heard that the 'acoustic' sound is anything but (it's a small semi-hollow body, so never going to be real acoustic-sounding).
