Anyone had any experience with the Shure PG-6 drum package?

I know everyone hates using a "kit pak" for drum micing. However, I read a few reviews for this kitpak, and was wondering if anyone's got one, and if it's decent for the money?

The specs on the PG52, and PG56 mics seem okay, but the overheads are what I'm concered about. I'd want to use those to mic acoustic guitar as well.

I was thinking I could also get the PG-4 (same thing, minus the overheads), and then get a stereo pair of something else. (Oktava, MXL603s, AT3031s)

Anyway, if anyone knows anything, help me out.

I've never used the particular Shure mic package you're considering, but I have used others like the Chinese mics marketed under the Samson name and the AKG clip-ons with very few problems.

The kit mic package with overheads by a different manufacturer sounds like the way I would go. I have used the Octavas (dunno if they were the EXACT ones you'd be getting) and found them an incredible value for the money. They made very good drum overheads if positioned carefully - they're kind of bright...
