Is it just a matter of blending a falsetto with a closed-off throat harsh scream? If so I don't think my body is equipped to do it, which would be a shame....but if I can "learn" the technique I will start practising today, hah! I can do harsh death-metal vocals and soaring falsetto highs but dev seems to be able to flawlessly combine both into this monstrous technique.
If anyone knows the song "Storm" from his Accelerated Evolution album, that high harsh scream he does in the chorus after the mid section makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and I get spine-tingles. Easily the most emotionally-affecting thing he does. It just hits me like that every time!
