Someone will buy it. If they'll buy a piece of toast with Jesus's face on it.....well, now the piece of toast is worth lots of money because it's historic. ;)

ACTUALLY, it's hard to say if this item is a METAL MASTER, MOTHER, or a STAMPER. Anyone know? I've never actually seen what such things look like.

I'm not sure... But I'd say it's a master only because I'd imagine the numbers stamped on it would come out backwards on the the disc if it was a stamper. I used to work for one of these stores. From my experience they are a bunch of morons that paid way too much for a franchise with way too much overhead to make a profit... so after pumping as much knowledge from seasoned ebayers/collectors like me they hire 18 year old kids as cheap labor to type out listings all day long who don't know shit about anything and have never even seen a record before. This store happens to be the first prototype which was started by a bunch of housewives in Pasadina to raise money for a playground at their kids school.

The way I've been told vinyl production works, is, it's originally cut on a GRAND MASTER, made of some sort of vinyl-type clay-like stuff that's malleable and easy to cut into.

This is then used to make a metal-master, which is a negative mold of the grand-master.

The metal-master then makes a MOTHER (which is what I suppose this item is.)

The mother then makes a stamper (another negative image mold), which stamps out LP's that we all know and love.

So, since this is made of metal, I wanna say it's a mother disc.........Whattaya think?

It a real mother all right. Can you even IMAGINE what playing a metal disc would do to your stylus?? At least static build up wouldn't be an issue

You know, I never thought it would damage the stylus to play a metal disc, but come to think of it, uh, that might be damaging
