S Steve Tittle New member Feb 9, 2000 #2 Hi Nate It's been a long time since I studied music theory but I'll give you the best I can. 1) Avoid using straight 3rds and 5ths in your voicing too bland 2) Don't get over busy with the parts as it tends to muddy up the works 3) Ascending and descending scales through different parts works great If I can think of more I'll post it. Only been 20 years or so

T The Green Hornet New member Feb 10, 2000 #3 Yo Nate: Also experiment with reverb patches; they enhance the strings. [I use patches of strings on my DX-7 synth and reverb makes them come to life.] I'm assuming you are doing something similar? If not, you have lost not. Cheers, Green Hornet
